Growing up on 175th Street in the Bronx, life as a youngster wasn’t sweet for Durell Mohammad . Influenced by the streets, Rell as he was known as became a product of his environment at a very young age. As New York City streets, transformed the Young Durell to Hell Rell, the rising star he is today. As a new year unfolds, and opportunities continue to increase, Rell accredits all of his success to his life experiences
Hell Rell plans to take the world by storm. After serving a 2 year sentence, and with the streets eagerly anticipating his release, Rell returned home to a loyal fan base a solid audience. In less than six months upon his arrival, Rell was signed as a part of the Diplomat family. Since his release, Rell has appeared on several mixtapes, as well appeared on Diplomat albums such as Diplomatic Immunity and Diplomatic immunity 2, More Than Music, Vol.1 & 2, Juelz Santana’s What The Game’s Been Missing, and Jim Jones’ On My Way To Church, Harlem: Diary Of A Summer, and Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (Product Of My Environment).
With Hell Rell’s successful introduction into the music industry, he will be making his solo debut this year with the release of For The Hell Of It on KOCH Records. With hot songs reflecting the albums title, guest appearances by his fellow Dip Set members, and production by both young, hot beatmakers and the industry’s finest producers, Rell’s album will be guaranteed heat. “On this album, I’m just having fun. That’s what life is all about,” comments Rell. “All of my songs are real, nothing is sugar coated. They are all full of substance.” When asked, what makes you stand out from the rest, he says, “rapping just comes naturally to me. I don’t write rhymes down on paper and I don’t practice. It just flows off the top of the dome.”
